OFFoff proudly presents the third edition of the 'Night of the Experimental Film’, a unique event for anyone interested in or simply curious about challenging cinema, with screenings, live music and a grand party to end the night.

The Night of the Experimental Film will start off with a screening of the best entries for the Young Vagrants competition. This year’s edition was open to filmmakers outside of Belgium for the first time and we received multiple entries from all over the world. Ghent-based record label B.A.A.D.M. and curator Sofie Verdoodt selected three ‘double bills’ of films and an equal amount of musical projects in accompaniment. As such, Helm (GB), Sewer Election (SE) and Camargue (BE) will supplement these exceptional films with live soundtracks. 
Want to know more about what to expect? On the Night, we offer metaphysical and sensuous cinema from such greats as Derek Jarman, Andy Warhol and Werner Herzog, but also a well-kept secret of the French director Denis Colomb de Daunant, introduced by Dr. Mark Goodall. An intricate tapestry of industrial sounds and deviant electronic music from the very best experimental projects from home and abroad will further guide you into the Night. Finally, after the screenings, you can dance the Night away to the sounds of DJs MAV, Nosedrip and Raf.
