This autumn the museum Dhondt-Dhaenens presents the first feature film by the Belgian artist collective Leo Gabin : A crackup at the Race Riots. The film is an adaptation of the eponymous experimental novel of the famous American screenwriter, director and artist Harmony Korine.
For this film the artists of Leo Gabin made sole use of amateur films they found on the Internet. The film is at first sight a collage of banal images which together form an alienating entity. A clear narrative or message cannot be instantly discovered in the film, it is rather an experimental scan of what reality and fiction still mean today.
Opening Sunday 18th of October from 11h until 15h.
Open Tuesday until Sunday from 10h until 17h.
