The investigation into the relation towards and meaning of the image is a constant in the work of Tessa Groenewoud. In her survey of context and frame in which images are consumed, the use of ready-mades is significant. Banal objects, images and environments are exposed by isolation or merging.  The use of a fixed structure determines the selection and shape of newly made images. A translation from one medium to another creates motion or stagnation.
Through a conceptual approach of “the found image" we are challenged to enter into a new relationship with what we see everyday and to reflect on how a medium influences our perception and the meaning of an image.
